ISTA Conference

Well, I am finally home and will be updating my blog over the next few days. I was in Japan for the International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty (ISTA) conference. This was my first conference abroad. I had an podium presentation that I made on Wednesday. Overall, the conference was really great.

I had a nice lunch with my Netherlands and US advisors to discuss my current research goals. We even discussed my post-doc and future plans. They are both great mentors and advisors. I am very fortunate. The format of the conference made it easy to attend many talks, as only two session were going on at once. The e-poster sessions which were very short talks were also a great way to learn lots of new topics in a short time.

The social time where we discuss research with other attendees is always my favorite time. I met a lot of new people ranging from graduate students to board members of ISTA. Finally, I had a great time with my Netherlands and US labmates. A very successful trip.
