Copenhagen: Places to Go # 1

While in Copenhagen, we walked around a lot to see the sites. Unfortuantely, there were several churches we tried to go into that were either closed for an event, not open in general or the worst was we could not climb the tower due to weather. Regardless, we saw a lot of Copenhagen.

Finally, I have seen a windmill up close. I really need to travel more around the Netherlands.

We walked to the Little Mermaid statue.  It is a bronze statue by Edvard Eriksen, displayed on a rock by the waterside. It is based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.

One church we saw was the Trinitatis Church which was built in 17th century.

The one that was closed due to weather was the Church of Our Saviour. It is famous for a corkscrew spire.

Copenhagen is very beautiful and we enjoyed walking around and seeing the sites.
